Sunboy Toys are friendly handmade toys made by Katie Lundie. Each piece is made using Linen fabric, Kapok fibre filling, and Cotton threads.
Sunboy Toys began in 2017 when me and my partner Isobel Neviazsky decided to make a toy together as Christmas gift for our friends baby. We slowly started making more and more very wonky creatures together, Isobel mostly in charge of the designing and embroidery and me in charge choosing fabrics and sewing them up. And slowly this lead to Sunboy Toys being born!
Things have moved on quite a bit since then and the toys have sort of developed along with us. We now have two young children and this in particular has directed Sunboy Toys more than anything else.
I now make the toys entirely by myself and they are now, to keep things simple made of just three natural materials. The colourways available are updated twice a year with the change of seasons (spring/summer and autumn/winter) and occasionally new toys are added and some retired!
